Abstract

Kaempferia is one of the important in zingiberaceae family that can be found in Southeast Asia. Several
species of kaempferia are used in spices and traditional medicines such as anti-inflammatory. Tracing
results on the kaempferia genus showed that 6 species had anti-inflammatory activity. This antiinflammatory
in the kaempferia genus is caused by the presence of chalcone, flavonoids, and terpenoids
compounds.
